Circular logic does not solve the problem. If everything has to have a cause then so must God. Who caused God? He could not have caused himself. As you said everything has a cause. If God is without cause then your argument is false as something indeed does exist without cause, God. Thus if God can exist without cause then so could potentially something else. Like say the universe.
