HK had a torch relay general rehearsal last Friday. Police is probably prepared but with these things you never know. Hong Kong has some experience with handling peaceful manifestations against Beijing, mostly regarding very local issues.
I don’t think residents here, aside for the few known local troublemakers, are going to disrupt the relay as they know it would considerably hurt the relations with the mainland. On the other hand, HK has quite open borders. So, if the relay gets into trouble it probably will be because of visitors trying to mess up the torch's ceremony. We'll wait and see.
I personally would prefer this whole Olympic Mess over and done with already, in all honesty. Mister Jacques Rogge and Co have some serious thinking to do for the future games. Otherwise we already can imagine the London Games getting into trouble over for instance Scotland, Gibraltar, the Shetlands or even Diego Garcia.
For France, in hindsight, I think not getting the 2012 games was a gift from heaven after all. Just imagine..
