BET was created because American television didn't put out any good black entertainment - I liked the Cosby Show but it wasn't necessarily indicative of black life in America.

Miss Black America - once again, our beautiful black women were being shunned by the mainstream
Never listened to the Tom Joyner show - watched his t.v. show once - hated it!
