Can you say extinction? Considering how fast the earth is warming, we (humankind) will be long gone before the sun burns itself out.
As the earth warms, desertification increases, ocean levels rise, the sum amount of habitable land decreases. There will be land that will become habitable that is now considered marginal. For instance, the tundra in Canada and the Taiga in Russia.
But in the U.S. there will be a large net loss of habitable land. Therefore, the population of the U.S. will begin to migrate into areas in the North. There will be political consequences to this. The U.S. may turn a hungry eye to Canada and deiced that they always wanted to be a State in the U.S. anyway.
Although no one really can predict all the ramifications (like an attempted mass migration of the African populace toward the Russian land, life as we know it will incur massive changes; none of which are likely to be good.
Mass starvations, airborne viruses, other disease, all may contribute to our demise.
Be aware that most of the species that existed millions of years ago are extinct...it may be the natural order of things.
