Guilt by association and sound bite? Come on now aren't we all above such superfluous generalizations? All that I'm hearing here are the most basic of Right Wing Talk Radio talking points being rehashed.

Sen. Obama explained Michelle's comments stating she didn't clearly articulate what she meant which was that she was proud of American politics for the first time this election cycle for finally having a Black and a woman who are candidates that have a great chance to succeed.

I think Sen. Obama meant that there are a lot of working class Americans who are bitter due to the rotten state of the American economy driven by Bush's weak and inept policies that have caused many moderate income earning Americans to become worse off financially and emotionally than they were the day Bush took office. The cost of key everyday items (food, gas, electricity, health insurance) are up significantly today while at the same time actual earnings have stagnated throughout the Bush years and are no better than when Clinton was President.

We started a war based on made up intel and there was a purposeful conspiracy to bury any intel that disputed Bush's claims. I for one recall vividly this famous line by Bush and his minions:

"America will stand down when Iraq steps up."

How is it possible that after 5 years their military is unable to defend themselves from themselves? It's mind boggling. I think that it's time we let our little eaglets fly on their own and that we abandon them to do just that.
