I saw yesterday on the BBC World news that China and the Democratic Republic of the Congo have just agreed to a $5 billion Dollar development deal.
The deal will allow for the construction of twenty Hospitals, four major highway links, from east to the west of the country.also a major rail link will be built. And four Universities for anyone
that wants to obtain University degrees.The Chinese in turn will receive huge mining rights in the mineral rich Katanga and Mbuji Mayi region of the country.
My question is how could the United States not offer such a deal with the Democrtic Republic of the Congo, years ago?.There are so many vital minerals
in the Congo.Coaltal,used in Cellular Phones and Computers ,and many electronic deveices.Copper,they have some of the largest copper deposits in the World.Diamonds, gold,many areas have had just the surface scratched in terms
of what has been extracted with regards to diamonds and Gold.Also there is Cobalt,and many other exotic minerals.What happened to the Europeans,and Americans, in this major deal?.
