In a free thinking society, racism will likely always exist in some form or another at the individual level (this I find unlikely to end anytime soon). It is when it comes institutionalized and injected into public affairs that it becomes a particular problem that I agree needs to be worked on.

I think the issue of race in America is going to take on a new dimension in coming decades in regards to mixed-ethnicities. I am actually writing a rather detailed report on it right now for a class.
