2008 Presidential Candidates: Alan Keyes
Party: Libertarian
Abortion: Personally, I'm against abortion, but the government should not be involved, so I'm politically pro-choice.
Affirmative Action: No no no.
Alternative Fuels: This is a job for the private sector.
Capital Punishment: Too many death row inmates are being exonerated for this to be a viable means of punishment.
Censorship: No censorship.
Cuba: How can we justify trading with China and not Cuba?
Current Administration (Bush/Cheney): I can't believe they weren't tried as war criminals. Then again, I feel bad for them, being pretty much hated and all.
Current Congress: Too much red tape, too many bureaucracies to deal with to be effective in the slightest way.
Education: Abolish the useless Dept. of Education, start the voucher program.
Electoral College: There are few instances when the electoral college has failed us, and I believe it has the potential to be very effective.
Flag Burning: Covered by the First Amendment, though I think it generally is not very cool.
Foreign Policy: For now, we need a hands off approach to the world. Too many problems at home.
Free Trade: FINE, if we have to, but in need of some serious reform
Gay Rights: Government has no right to be involved in your personal life.
Global Warming: I'll admit that we need to work on our own pollution that's ripping a hole in the ozone layer, but global warming goes back to the time of the Egyptians. Do the research, it's true!
Globalization: No no no, we are a sovereign nation and I don't want foreigners having any say in how our country is run.
Gun Control: Government has no say, according to the Constitution. You want a gun, you can buy a gun. People that hurt others with guns go to jail.
Health care: Privatize it, bring competition back to hospitals and doctors.
Illegal Immigration: Deport all ILLEGAL immigrants. Put legal immigrants on a path to citizenship.
Marijuana Legalization: Decriminalize it. It's less dangerous than alcohol and the war on drugs is just not working.
Media Bias: Any source of information anywhere is going to be biased. It's your personal responsibility to do the research and find out for yourself.
School Prayer: People can pray in school if they want to, but they aren't forced to.
Separation of Church and State: Definitely, but make sure that Separation of Church and State doesn't mean, get rid of religion in politics. it was meant to stop the State from controlling the Church, not to make sure we are an atheistic nation.
Social Security: Privatize.
Stem Cell Research: There are many forms of stem cell research that don't involve fetuses, let's stick with those for now.
The Constitution: Follow it, it is our country's code.
United Nations: Useless to us.
War in Iraq: Get out while we still can, before someone tries to send us to Iran or Pakistan or Syria.
Welfare: Don't cripple the poor by teaching them that the government will always be there to make sure they don't need a job. Get off your lazy ass and help someone personally.
Wiretapping: Where in the Constitution does it say the government can get involved with me in my personal life?
