You shouldn't look to the dictionary to see how to define political terms, you should look to politics. The dictionary isn't always on par. For example, I'm sure that when you were in grade school you've heard kids be called dorks. Did you ever think that the name callers actually meant to call kids penises? Because that's the dictionary definition.
i f you look at politique like you say, then there are personnes use the word liberal like this are bad word or something. this happen much i n canadien histoire with Jacques Cartier and Pierre de Vauderuil. this happen now with Stephen Harper. is it wrong t o be généreuse person or to help poor people? is it wrong to chainge social programme that is bad t o make it good thing?

i n USA election Obama h e are criticise much for his issue on war i n Irak and Medical care. people say this are liberal ideas and they are bad. Obama he want to end war i n Irak. then he say he want to have medical care programme for all americans. how can this issues not b e good thing? he want to stop the war and begin programme for Medical care. Obama he are criticise for what the adversaire call liberal ideas. i see nobody criticise for conservative ideas.
