A "national health care system" COULD work in the USA. There is no doubt about that. Time and time again the USA, with technological and scientific breakthroughs have shown the capability to conquer difficult problems. I believe all can agree with that.
I believe most folks who state that government run health care would fail say that because of the experiences they have had in life dealing with government entities.
Could a state health care system work; Absolutely. BUT.. Dr's would need to work for less. Colleges would need to lower tuitions for obtaining a doctorate, Insurance companies would need to drastically lower liability premiums and the lawyers......oh the lawyers. and political hacks with no-show jobs etc etc. Yes, it could work, but who wants to take on the greed and corruption in order to make it work? Good luck to whoever tries.
