Thanks for your input (and for allowing us to have our survey here)! We of course are concerned about who is taking our survey. As social psychologists we realize this is of great importance. However, we are attempting to get the point of view from many people, and the internet is one way in which researchers are now doing this and it has actually shown to be quite effective but yes at the same time limited to those people that use the sites we post on. However, if we acknowledge who are participants are then we can interpret the results in light of those constraints. In any research there are always constraints. For example, even calling people creates a limit--only those people with phones or those people that are willing actually participate.

Anyway, we are trying very hard to go beyond the opinions of just college students. Which has historically been where research is limited to. The internet is one way to do this! Thank you for your comments! All of these questions are important to discuss.

I also realize that some users get upset about surveys on blog sites, however, since we are discussing political issues here, research is one of the avenues in which we can start a discussion about politics and the current race.

Thank you to those who have participated so far!! And yes go Jayhawks
