Do you really have a degree in History??? You should know if you dont already that for years the supreme court ruled that the amenment did not extend the bill of rights to the states and not only did the 14 amenment fail to extend the bill of rights to the states it also failed to protect the rights of black citizens. Lincon only freed the slaves to save the union lincon wrote to horace greenly that if he could save the union without freeing ANY of the slaves he would do it an that if he could save it by freeing some and leaving the OTHERS IN SLAVERY he would do it. All the 14 amenment was for was freeing the slaves to get more man power to win the war all this did was piss off white people in the south more thus giving rise to the kkk and plans to keep blacks "enslaved" but free at the same time.

If you believe this statement you wrote then clearly you can see that america was built off the backs of slaves. The whit race reaped pure benifits off the backs of their slaves and guess what, THE SLAVES WERE NOT PAID!!
