Yes, there are democrats in Texas, I be one.
And yes, they would potentially lose their voice in helping decide policy and laws etc.. that is one of the reasons I posed the question, "would you leave your state?"
I honestly don't know if I would.
There are already states other than my own who give folks legal rights I'd like to have. (marrying my Sweetie, smoking pot every once in a while, etc..)
But I am a native born Texan and while I have lived elsewhere, this will always feel like home to me.
I suppose I would have to decide which were more important to me and mine; remaining in a state that has been home to me, or moving to a state that I feel better represents my personal style of government.

But, since this is my fantasy or whatever it is, I should like to claim Texas for the democrats.

(yeah, like that would ever work)
