In iran kids are sapperated in 3 types of schools, majority go to ordinary schools, smart kids go too special schools as well as slow learning.
History untill the last year of high school is the old history like islam history and Iran before islam and so on, the last year it's the current history which is very difficult to learn because you have seen with your own eyes (or your parents') that exactly the reverse of what the book says has happened
it's so hard to accept and learn this book, I never got more that 8 from 20.
for example it talks so sentimentally about
sheikh fazlollah Nouri like he's contributed a lot to the country and while he was in dictatorship favor, and
Mosaddegh according to this book betrayed Iran.
when it reaches to the Khomeini time, it becomes sentimental in a sickening way.
passing this book was one of the hardest things I've done in the school.
