This argumentation isn't getting us anywhere. Mostly because the two sides always get into shouting matches.

I don't think that giving into very strong urges when you're a teenager should mean that the rest of your life is going to be terrible, as is the life of your child. There could very well be a lot of wasted potential in people.

Also, I don't think most people get an abortion on a whim. I have read many accounts of women who either didn't get an abortion after going to the clinic, or regretted it afterwards. I wish you could stop making the stereotype of people who have no idea what they are doing with sex getting an abortion simply because they don't want to be bothered. Women who have abortions are not cold-hearted killers.

Even as a college student, if I got a girl pregnant but it was economically viable for me and my girlfriend to have the kid, I would probably want that.

Contraception isn't perfect, but most unwanted pregnancies occur when it isn't used or isn't used properly. If it was most widely available as well as the eduction on how to use it properly then I think the number of abortions will go down drastically.

There has to be some sort of compromise in this, because I don't think banning it would do anything to solve the problem. Mortality should not always be the law, and vise versa.
