At some point in time you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get on with it...blaming people for your problems doesn't solve them it only gives them a life of their own, then they literally hold you back.
How many years and how many dollars are you willing to throw at the problem.
As for integration...only the most naive would assume there is any other way.
