Alcohol is not a very beneficial product that contributes very little to society compared to the negative things it causes, and idealistically should be illegal, but history proves that making it illegal only does more harm that it does good. Even if you believe abortion is wrong making it illegal is not a viable solution to your woes because it's still going to happen and it's going to be even worse.
So what are you suggesting? Are you suggesting just letting people who defy these ideal and reasonable laws/restrictions walk all over society simply because of the logic that says "they're going to do it?" So let's let people do what they're going to do, just because they're going to do it? That's an anarchical concept if I ever heard one. It makes absolutely no sense. Idealistically and logically, both of these issues have straight forward answers that people are going to have to learn to deal with. People cannot always get what they want. What's that old cliche? You know... "life isn't fair...?" People everywhere in this society want to do a lot of things that they can't do legally. The point of laws is that they prevent them for reasons that are beneficial to the fabric and collective moral integrity of society. Those who can't abide by those laws pay the consequences.

Society can't just say "oh well... criminals will be criminals" and let things like that determine our laws... If that happened on a large scale--if the logic you presented was implemented and utilized regularly, it would lead to the complete and utter downfall of our government because every individual would get what they want. That's called anarchy. Self-government. We have laws for a reason and they're not to be broken for a reason. So that the government can enforce those laws--protecting the general populace--while asserting its central authority so that it can also enforce and protect your rights. If everyone got what they wanted, if people started getting their individual wants and needs, their would be no need for the government and your rights wouldn't mean anything. This society is based on collectivism, not individualism and the collectivist mindset has no need for the appalling "practice" of abortion and it has no need for things like alcohol, drugs, etc.
