The Shah was a dictator, not so cruel as Khomeini but he was a dictator installed by the US after the CIA overthrowed Mossadegh. Then the US brought Khomeini into Iran, and now we have to get along with Ahmadinejad. And the US is complaining about Iran and Ahmadinejad? Absurd. The US should start to complain about its own policy one day.
The Islamic revolution happened because of the Shah. The Shah was a dictator, financed and supported by the West. The West supported the oppression of Iranians and the Iranians got angry one day, the US brought Khomeini into Iran and the revolution has happened.
