Are you referring to cases under the jurisdiction of the World Court?
The US withdrew its membership and any decision by the World Court can be vetoed by one of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council. Hardly an unbiased judical system.
The fact is that what you refer to as international law really is not. If there were such a thing as international law it would most certainly outlaw the invasion of nations except in direct defense. Obviously the US violated such a provision repeatedly over the last 50 years. From Korea to Vietnam to the Gulf War the US has intervened militarily in wars that were not in the direct defense of the sovereignty of the United States.
