your Constitutional quote doesn't say "welfare of the people", it says "welfare of the United States" since you want to pick nits and then create an argument out of it
your line of reasoning here opens up a huge can of worms, I guess its ok to euthanise handicapped people, fat people, stupid people etc etc because its in the name of the overall welfare of the US, please, what a crock
