Peace in and of itself isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Peace is preferable, but sometimes we must war to maintain peace, or at least a worthwhile peace (here citing humanitarian reasons). There's no point in peace when it will only enable your enemy a better opportunity to massacre your people, or when it will only keep intolerable violations of human rights from being stopped.
