Tom Lantos, chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, described attempts to deny the use of sex slaves as "nauseating". "There can be no denying the Japanese imperial military coerced thousands upon thousands of Asian women," Mr Lantos said. "Those who posit that all of the comfort women were happily complicit and acting of their own accord simply do not understand the meaning of the word rape."
Is it not also then "rape" to force teenage boys and young men to fight and die in combat? In wartime sacrifices need to be made that don't need to be made in normal times. I don't see why having sex is so horrible, even for women with men they don't want to be with. Yes, its not a pleasant thing if they don't want to do it, but is it really that awful. Lets get some perspective here. Compared to the horrors of war, I don't think it ranks.

Secondly, its anyone going to ask why the US Congress is spending its time debating resolutions about history (and not even US history at that). Isn't history an academic subject for professors and teachers to debate. Don't these clowns have serious issues to discuss rather than talking about genocide in Armenia or some prostitutes in Japanese occupied lands in WWII. Did we elect amateur historians or politicians to solve real problems? They wonder why their approval rating is in the teens? It doesn't surprise me. What a bunch of total clowns.
